Manuel Riegler is a Vienna-based composer, sound designer, and percussionist working across the fields of performance, dance, theatre, film, and game art. His artistic practice unfolds at the intersection of genres, blending synthetic textures, acoustic instruments, and environmental sounds into cohesive sonic narratives that emphasize nuanced dynamic gradations and microtonal interplay.
Riegler has scored works presented at the Impulstanz Festival, Tanzquartier Wien, Gessnerallee Zürich, Tanzhaus NRW, Santarcangelo Festival, Ars Electronica, Steirischer Herbst, Elevate Festival, Donaufestival, Diagonale Film Festival, Sundance Film Festival, Rotterdam Film Festival, Halle für Kunst Steiermark, Antimatter Festival Canada, EXPO Osaka, Contrast Gallery Tokyo, Decommune Bangkok, and various other institutions across Europe.
As a drummer and percussionist, he has performed in numerous bands and theatre projects, including Francis International Airport, Wealth, Toxic Dreams, and Shrack.
